Flare respects intellectual property rights and expects its users to do the same. This policy explains how we handle copyright and other intellectual-property (IP) matters, and how to report infringement. It forms part of, and should be read with, our Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
Contents
You must only upload or share content that you own or have the necessary rights to use. Do not post photos, videos, music, text, logos or other material that infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, or other intellectual-property or proprietary rights. Content that infringes IP rights violates our Community Guidelines and may be removed.
You retain ownership of the content you create and share on Flare. As described in our Terms of Service, you grant Flare a limited licence to host, display and distribute that content solely to operate and improve the Platform. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to everything you upload, including any photos or media featuring other people.
The Flare name, logo, brand, app, website, designs, text, graphics and software are owned by or licensed to Backroom Studio Ltd and are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, scrape or create derivative works from any part of the Platform except as expressly permitted by us or by law.
If you believe content on Flare infringes your copyright, you can send us a notice. To help us act quickly, your notice should include:
Incomplete notices may delay our response. Please only report content you genuinely believe infringes your rights.
Submit copyright notices through our Help Center, selecting a copyright/legal category and including the information above. We review valid notices and, where appropriate, remove or disable access to the reported content and notify the user who posted it.
If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice through the Help Center. A counter-notice should include:
Where the law provides for it, we may restore the content if the original complainant does not pursue further legal action within the applicable period.
Flare will, in appropriate circumstances, restrict, suspend or terminate the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe intellectual-property rights. Repeated or serious infringement may result in a permanent ban, including device-level restrictions.
If you believe your trademark, or other rights such as publicity or moral rights, are being infringed on Flare, contact us through the Help Center with details of the right, the allegedly infringing content, and how to locate it. Impersonation and non-consensual use of someone's name, likeness or images are also covered by our Community Guidelines.
Submitting false, bad-faith or abusive infringement notices or counter-notices is prohibited and may itself result in enforcement action against your account and, where applicable, liability under the law. Only submit reports you genuinely believe to be valid.
We may update this policy from time to time and will revise the "Last updated" date above. For any copyright or intellectual-property matter, contact us through our Help Center. We are Backroom Studio Ltd, London, United Kingdom.
